Karuna Reiki Practitioner / Master Training

Time: 10:00 am-6:00 pm each day

The first day is for becoming a Karuna Reiki Practioner and the second day is for becoming a Karuna Reiki Master.

  • Both workshops will be held at an offsite location.  Directions will be provided upon registration.
  • Prerequisite for Practitioner training is Certification as a Usui Reiki II Practitioner.
  • Prerequisite for Master training is Certification as a Usui Reiki Master.
  • NOTE: If you are already a Karuna Practitioner, please select the Master Only option.

Karuna Reiki® is an expression of the evolving nature of Reiki. Karuna is the healing energy that awakens us to the Compassion within; opening the heart chakra at a very deep level.

You will be introduced to the 8 Karuna Healing symbols. The first symbols you will learn are for healing deep cellular memories. We will chant and tone these symbols as we give Karuna Reiki Treatments. You will also learn the process of integrating Karuna into an Usui Reiki Treatment.

For those becoming a Karuna Reiki®  Master, on Sunday you will learn the process of attuning others to Karuna Reiki.  

About Joan Ruggiero:


Joan Ruggiero is a Certified Usui Reiki & Karuna Reiki® Master, and Certified Magnified Healing® Teacher of Levels I, II & III. For over 10 years she has been teaching Usui Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Magnified Healing, and Meditation classes at Circles of Wisdom in Andover, MA.

In her Reiki Workshops, this dedicated teacher shares her deep understanding of the Usui Method of Natural Healing in a supportive environment. She has also studied with Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche the ancient wisdom of Bon Tibetan Reiki. In her Magnified Healing workshops she brings forth the powerful energies of the ancient healer Kwan Yin. Joan has studied Pranic Healing with Master Choa Kok Sui for the past five years and is now offering 1&1/2 hour Crystal Pranic Healing sessions.

Joan’s background includes a commitment to both teaching and learning. She has been a long time student of Eastern Philosophy and Meditation. As a teacher with 25 years experience in public schools, Joan introduced meditation programs to high school students. The effectiveness of these programs, as well as those now being offered, lies in her unique ability to bridge East and West. Her work reflects the belief that we all have the ability to awaken to our own healing power.
