White Sage

White Sage is ideal for purifying negative energy. It has incredibly strong, aromatic resins, and comes packaged loose or in mini and large wands. It is found in the rugged mountains of the Southwest, where it is burned ceremonially in purification rituals. Its beautiful leaf clusters and enormous flowering stalks burst forth in the spring, painting streaks of white against the rusty green hillsides and filling the air with the pungent scent of wild Sage.

To burn sage, light the wand or loose sage and after it is ignited for a few seconds extinguish the flame. Use an abalone shell or other heat-proof container to burn loose sage in or to catch the falling ash from a wand. Direct the smoke around your body or the space you wish to clear. You can do this with your hand or by using a smudging feather.
