How do you ensure my privacy?
Circles of Wisdom knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting CirclesofWisdom.com, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

What personal information about me do you gather?
The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve your shopping experience at CirclesofWisdom.com. Here are the types of information we gather.

Information You Give Us: You are required to set up an account with Circles of Wisdom to purchase items. At a minimum, we will retain the billing and shipping information you provide for your purchase so we may track your orders. We will also retain your email address so we may communicate with you about your order. We will not, however, use or sell any of this information for solicitation purposes.

If you choose to register and create an account with us, or provide us your email address for our newsletter, your account information may be used by us to monitor your buying behavior at CirclesofWisdom.com. You provide most information when you search, buy, post, participate in a contest or questionnaire, or communicate with customer service. For example, you provide information when you search for a product; place an order or purchase; communicate with us by phone, e-mail, or otherwise; complete a questionnaire or a contest entry form. As a result of those actions, you might supply us with such information as your name, address, and phone numbers; people to whom purchases have been shipped, including addresses and phone number; people (with addresses and phone numbers) listed in your address book; and content of reviews and e-mails to us.

At a minimum, in order to shop on our site, we collect the following the information: Your name, billing address, phone number, email, and shipping address.

We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you, improving our store, and communicating with you.

Automatic Information: We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many Web sites, we use "cookies," and we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses CirclesofWisdom.com. A number of companies (www.anonymizer.com, www.IDzap.com, www.somebody.net, and www.zeroknowledge.com) offer utilities designed to help you visit Web sites anonymously. We cannot vouch for the effectiveness of any of these products. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission provides useful information about online privacy on its own Web site. Although we will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience at CirclesofWisdom.com if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these tools exist. Other examples of the information we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; purchase history; the full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our Web site, including date and time; cookie number; and products you viewed or searched for. During some visits we may use software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

What about those cookies?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide features such as personalized greetings, and storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits.

Cookies are used by CirclesofWisdom.com to monitor your session and are tied to your personal information.

The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of CirclesofWisdom.com features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.

Do you share the information I give you?
Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share customer information only as described in this privacy statement.

Agents: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

Protection of CirclesofWisdom.com and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Circles of Wisdom, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. This does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice.

How secure is information about me?
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. To ensure the data you transmit while on our site is secure we use Comodo® SSL Certificates.

In Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7 (and upcoming releases of Firefox and Opera), our address bar will turn green. The security status bar shows that the transaction is encrypted and that we have been authenticated according to the most rigorous industry standard.

In other older Internet Explorer versions, you will see a security lock at the bottom of your page.

Clicking on either of the two will bring up certificate information and validate that the site you are on has in fact been issued an encryption certificate and that your data is secure.

In addition to providing secure communication, CirclesofWisdom.com has also requested our servers be run through rigorous simulated attacks by HackerGuardian.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

How do I remove myself from your mailing list?
We understand that you may not want to be bothered with emails, promotions, or specials. Just tell us and we'll take you off our list. You can opt out of our email or postal mailing lists, or add or update information that you have provided to us, by:

How can I help Circles of Wisdom protect my privacy?
Username and Password: Choose a password that will be difficult for others to guess. Do not use obvious or easily accessed data such as your name, initials, Social Security number, mother's maiden name, phone number, address, family birthdays, family names, pets, or any combination of the previous. We emphasize the importance of choosing a unique and secure password to help ensure your protection. Circles of Wisdom will never contact you to solicit your username or password. Never provide them to anyone.

Close Your Browser When Finished: After you have finished your session with CirclesofWisdom.com, log out and close your browser to erase information that may have been stored on your computer during your session. Any information you entered during your session may be temporarily stored in the memory storage area of your computer until you close the browser. Logging off and closing your browser will clear this temporary storage area from your computer.

Verify Authenticity of Emails: Never click on a link in an email if you are unsure of its origins, especially if the email asks for personal or financial information. Circles of Wisdom will never ask you for personal information via an email. If you have any doubt about the authenticity of an email from Circles of Wisdom, simply open a new Web browser, type in https://www.circlesofwisdom.com, log in to your account safely and securely and then perform the requested activity.

Examples of information you can access easily at CirclesofWisdom.com include up-to-date information regarding recent orders and personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications preferences, address book).
