Summertime is upon us!  Time to get out in the sun, in the water, into the forest, and into your heart. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)seasonal practice, fire is the element of summer and the organs we support are the heart and small intestine (and pericardium).

Emotionally, this element is associated with the mind and its stability. The heart is the “seat” of the mind and therefore, its highest expression is love, joy, and happiness.  When imbalanced, we may either lack joy (depression) or have excessive joy (a maniac condition).

Physically, when the fire element is balanced, the heart properly governs and circulates the blood and ensures proper assimilation of the beginning breakdown of food in the small intestines.

Emotionally, when the fire element is balanced, sensitivity and expression, true fulfillment and the equilibrium between heart and mind are our greatest rewards.

This is why we will practice movements for balancing our heart energy and our usual weekly full-body movements.  Practicing 3 Body Qigong for summer can offer a way to keep your heart energy healthy and balanced, for a peaceful, loving, and joyful summer!

IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE 3 BODY QIGONG, GIVE IT A TRY!  You just may be surprised how it makes you feel! Any questions, please email me at 3bodyha@gmail.com

All ages are welcome. Please bring a mat as some movements will be on the floor. (Modifications will be offered if you can’t go on the mat).

David Sholemson

David is an energy healer, qigong teacher and workshop facilitator. His path began in December 2005, after a second knee surgery.  He unknowingly wandered into an energy yoga center seeking a massage to help with the pain. Knowing nothing about energy, yoga or healing, he signed up.  After practicing for 2 weeks, and receiving energy healing,  David  “just knew” this was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

After many trainings and workshops, under the tutelage of master healer- teacher Chun Shim, he became a Qigong teacher and workshop trainer. After 9 years of practice, he moved on to learn other forms of energy work. He became a Reiki master-teacher, Tong Ren practitioner, studied with qigong master Robert Peng and shaman, Sandra Ingerman.  David has spent years studying the teachings of Ram Dass and has integrated what he has learned into his own life and his teachings, all with the intention to help guide others toward a healthier and happier life.
