Our traditional Victorian Spirit Circle will introduce you to mediumship as it was in England years ago. Spirit Circles have been traced back to the 1700s and were made popular in the Victorian era in England. Traditionally, the Spirit Circle was held in someone’s home and focused on mental mediumship, also referred to as evidential. These home circles were attended by many and not limited to any one religion. Attendees were united in their search for enlightenment, evidence of their loved one’s survival, and the sheer pleasure of sharing the experience with like-minded friends and family.
 
Open to everyone, our circle meetings will include discussions of the different types of mediumship, how we all connect differently, delivery of the message, working with sitters. The circle gives everyone, at all levels of their work, encouragement and support. This discussion period gives everyone a chance to share challenges, doubts, and experiences that have helped them in their development. We encourage members to attend on a regular basis. Some believe this allows Spirits to plan their participation with us which, in turn, increases the combined energies available to work with.
 
After discussion we open the circle with a prayer followed by meditation. Each person will learn to 'feel' the presence of Spirit and everyone will find that feeling differently. We will walk through an exercise of opening the 3rd eye to see the Spirit, explore the feelings we might be having (happy, sad, ill, pain, etc.), look at the Spirit to see their characteristics, clothing, etc.
 
As each person is comfortable, they will bring the Spirit they've connected with to someone in the circle. Some folks will develop faster than others but everyone will learn to have faith that what is in their mind's eye is indeed Spirit and will just say it, whatever it is, that they see or feel. Some folks need more nudging along but everyone will find success to some degree.

The circle will end with the opportunity to discuss the messages of the evening. The discussions will ensure you have had the opportunity to expand your knowledge of mediumship.
