Shiva is an omnipotent, omnipresent deity that has various different names and forms. Shiva plays an important role in the Hinduism concept of the great trinity (The Trimurti), in which the cosmic creation, balance, and destruction are personified by three major deities, Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer.
